If there isn’t any moving part, I do consider scale model a bit boring.
That is why I always try to find one real detail on each model. Detail that can add some life to it.
So when I started with WC52, I got myself in a „mood to make some moving hood“:

1. I sanded all the parts properly and thought, what would be the best way, how and where should I place hinges.

 

2. I filled ugly form marks with the putty and sanded once it got dry. I drilled two make micro-holes at the end of the hood panel and sticked thin metal rods into each of them.

 

3. Before I glued it all together I made sure the hood is closing properly and all the lines are nicely aligned.
